Meet The Guide: Suvus

I had a few minutes to sit down with Suvus, a guide of Magic and Melee, to ask him a few questions to get to know the man behind the character. I began by asking him about his play history… “I began on Brell Serilis in 1999 when I was in 3rd grade… It was a very immersive experience at that time. I only raided twice maybe but won 3rd place for Necromancer during the Best of the Best competitions. When I started playing on Fippy Darkpaw server is when I started my raid career. I was a Shaman and I had a great time. That is where the purple eye troll stole my heart. When I played on Phinigel I really developed a love for tanking and being a Shadowknight and pushing my limitations and the limitations of my friends and what not. Then I landed looking for a fresh go here on Mangler, and have been having fun ever since.”

It was very refreshing to hear about the days of old and surprising to hear such a young lad could achieve 3rd place in such a competition. He must have had some strategies he wasn’t sharing so I began to investigate a little bit deeper. Suvus did not like the questions about his PvP strategies and tactics and suggested any further inquiries would result in the interview being terminated. So I had to change the subject.. I asked him aside from EQ what do you enjoy good sir? He responded… “I thoroughly enjoy a simple life and when the weather is nice I take my little pup on a cruise. I enjoy my car, Volkswagen, they are truly a fun drive. When you get behind the wheel of a Volkswagen it’s truly an immersive driving experience. The quality of engineering really connects you to the road and they are a blast to cruise around twisty roads in on a nice day.”

We chit chatted for a bit about miscellaneous car trivia and it became quite apparent this guy, Suvus, was quite into it. He seemed to have a knowledge about the Volkswagen from his past experiences with them that shared great insight into the durability and the ease to find a solution to remedy an ailment. I don’t know if I’ll be using deck screws to hold together my Tesla but it is good to know common hardware store parts can be used instead of those pricey autopart store solutions.

In the end, he mentioned… “Yeah, it’s a pleasure to be a guide for M&M it is truly a great group of folks and as the old saying goes if you are having fun it doesn’t feel like work. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together as the server progresses through the expansions but if I had to comment on the current state of the guild I am quite pleased with what we have accomplished to date. There is so much more to look forward to in this lovely game we all enjoy and I look forward to enjoying it with you all in Magic and Melee.”
